Checkout opportunities to support Project Ayuda's help for Colombian communities seeking ethical UK retailers
Project Ayuda is a non-profit international development organisation based in the UK that aspires to pull communities of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Colombia out of poverty and hardship by creating a sustainable income for affected communities.
The organisation does this by targeting displaced communities who are already producing goods locally but have been unable to find a reliable market to sell them to.
Project Ayuda locates and establishes this market in the UK by creating links between the Colombian producers and ethical retailers in the UK who would be interested in selling their products.
Working together with numerous partners in Colombia, the organisation provides training, logistical support and financial assistance to the communities with which it works, so that they are able to set up a successful, self-sustainable export business to the UK, thereby escaping the trap of poverty in which they currently live.
Sponsorship partners are currently being sought to help Project Ayuda raise the necessary funds to provide these communities with the training and equipment they need, so that they can achieve this long term objective.
