Landscope Project offers a sustainable environment for sponsorship investment

The landscope project is a flagship initiative of the Dartington Hall Trust to attract and support social and environmental enterprises to set up new ventures to demonstrate sustainable land use on the 1,200 acre Dartington Hall estate in South Devon.

The first two successful projects have recently been given the go ahead. The first is a social enterprise delivering land-based education to excluded adolescents from urban areas. The second is a woodland charity that aims to create and restore the network of woodlands stretching from Dartmoor to the River Dart.

A further three projects are sought to launch in 2007.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

Support for the piloting of the landscope project until it becomes self-financing in the year 2009
Support for developing educational materials to extend the reach of the landscope project to other landowners in the UK
Support for a one-day symposium exploring the challenges and opportunities of climate change and peak oil in the south west of England, showcasing landscope as an example of social and environmental enterprise
Support for new start up ventures within the landscope family
