The Bristol Festival is a new community festival being organised by volunteers for September 20th and 21st, 2008. The event will showcase talent from across the south west region from a wide spectrum of disciplines, including music, art, theatre, circus and comedy.

The main festival site, including several music stages, cabaret tents, street theatre, art exhibitions and food outlets, will be outdoors in Bristol city centre with additional indoor venues across the city providing night time entertainment and additional activities such as educational workshops and art exhibitions. The volunteer group is also providing year round participatory and educational worshops to engage local communities in art, music and theatre projects.

Children's activities will be available in school holidays and in the run up to the festival with a view to inclusion in the event. The event supports emerging artists with great local public and media support.
