Sponsors can tap into current opportunities with UK launch of Stockholm Junior Water Prize
CIWEM (The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) is currently seeking sponsorship for the Stockholm Junior Water Prize UK national competition. The Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWP) is a youth science competition aimed at getting young people involved in water and environmental advocacy. Young scientists will do research, conduct experiments and produce projects involving any local, national or global water-related issue. The competition is open to pre-university students between the ages of 15 and 20. Projects will be submitted for judging in April and the national winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in May. The winning student or group of students (up to three) will receive an expenses paid trip to Sweden in August to represent the UK at the international SJWP taking place during World Water Week each August. Sponsors will help fund the launch of this prestigious international science competition in the UK and ensure its success in coming years. Sponsorship support will be put towards promotional materials, entry form materials, a reception to display submitted projects and the national winner's trip to Stockholm to participate in the international competition. Sponsors will receive exposure through promotional materials in UK schools, in CIWEM publications (reaching approximately 13,000 monthly), numerous CIWEM events throughout the year, at the national competition's award ceremony in May and at World Water Week in Sweden, attended by water and environment professionals from all over the world. Ongoing support is encouraged as involvement in the SJWP UK national competition is likely to grow each year.
