Fair chance that Lac Agency's arts and crafts events in Tanzania will be a huge success for sponsorsLac Agency has designed a six day Arts and Crafts Fair in order to collect art and crafts from all over the regions.
The Fair, to be known as Nunua Sanaa Tanzania, NUSATA Fair, will be organised annually.
The first Fair, to scheduled to start at the end of 2010 and run until October 2011, will cover fifteen regions and will be expanded each following year until it covers all regions of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
The specific objectives of the fair will be:
• To provide a suitable and broadly publicized opportunity for Tanzanian arts and crafts producers to exhibit and sell their works and products
• To provide a unique opportunity for the public to view and purchase quality art products, pieces and crafts
• To enhance national pride and identity through a high profile and prestigious cultural event
• To provide training to artists and producers on entrepreneurship and business operations
• To serve as an avenue for exchange and sharing of experiences and skills in artistic and crafts creativity, design, production and marketing.
• To improve incomes of art and crafts producers
• To showcase Tanzania's art and crafts wealth
• To improve and enhance Tanzanians' respect for and use of local art and crafts works and products
• To serve as a purchasing outlet for exporters of local art and crafts works and products.
• To provide an avenue for young people to learn about their art and crafts traditions and culture in general.
• To identify excellent artists and craftspeople for possible national recognition, award and inventorying.
• To improve creativity, design and production of art and crafts
• To provide an excellent opportunity to foreign art and craft dealers to identify suitable works and products for their markets.
