INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CRICKET UMPIRING & SCORING (IICUS)
The International Institute of Cricket Umpiring & Scoring (IICUS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the International Community Cricket Trust (ICCT) - UK-registered charity No.1119716 - under the chairmanship of Keith Pont, the former Director of Recreational Cricket Development at the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). IICUS is unique: a 'world-first'! It is the only independent institute in the world able to offer professionally-delivered education and development courses leading to the award of the following Edexcel*-approved, internationally-recognised, cricket qualifications BTEC (Level 2) Certificate in Cricket Umpiring BTEC Advanced Diploma in Cricket Umpiring BTEC (Level 3) Professional Award for Delivering Vocational Cricket Umpiring and Scoring Qualifications (this latter teaches, qualifies and empowers local indigenous tutors to subsequently deliver the BTEC (Level 2) Certificate courses themselves in their own countries). Full details of these courses can be found on: www.umpires.tv. (* Edexcel Limited is part of the Pearson Group and, with offices in over a hundred countries, is the largest recognised - and one of the most respected - international qualifications awarding bodies in the world). IICUS has established Edexcel-approved main hub and 'satellite' Umpire Education Centres throughout the UK, but the increased demands throughout Australasia and the Asia Pacific/ASEAN region for its courses has necessitated the creation of an Edexcel-accredited Umpire Education Centre at not only the Sydney Cricket Ground in New South Wales (with 'satellite' centres in each of the other states), but also similar main hub centres in each of the Asia-Pacific countries in the region - specifically in Malaysia, Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka (also, now, in Dubai). Because of the limited training period 'windows' in each of the different countries and the immediate need to deliver the increasing numbers of courses and qualified tutors required at (only) these Edexcel-accredited centres, the Institute is seeking to engage urgently with empathetic corporate stakeholder sponsors and commercial joint venture/affinity marketing/CSR partners who see the value of taking their brands directly to the 6,000,000+ participants (and their families) in international community cricket. Being also charity-owned, IICUS has a range of significant optional reciprocal quid pro quos and 'ROIs' to offer seriously-interested potential course sponsors and centre partners. More information about the Institute and its activities is available on request. Contact: Naval Heeramaneck, FCA, Director of Fundraising & Partnerships. PEOPLE'S BOAT Alex Alley is a British professional sailor and one of only two confirmed British entries in the next Global Ocean Race in 2011/12 (http://globaloceanrace.com/?page=news&lang=&news_id=351). As the name suggests, it is a round the world yacht race for very fast, radical 40' yachts, raced with only two crew for eight months and 30,000 miles. The race is run over five legs, stopping in Cape Town, Wellington, Ilhabella and Charleston, before returning to the finish in Europe. The campaign is funded with a mix of corporate and individual sponsorship, ranging from title sponsor at £150,000-£200,000 right down to individuals at £25 each. At the end of the race, the boat will be sold and all the proceeds, expected to be around £150,000-£200,000, will be donated to charity - a great PR story for anybody. This is an opportunity for a sponsor to have a global presence for very little investment and raise their profile both internally and externally. Delivering not only global involvement with a high end event for the three years of the campaign, it offers amazing client entertaining opportunities on the race yacht, as well as a charity donation equal to the original investment, with sponsors effectively getting the three years sponsorship for nothing. This campaign gives the client a chance to be involved, right from the grass roots level, with every aspect of the campaign and something tangible to follow during the eight month race in 2011/12. "Have a look at www.peoplesboat.com to see how it all works on the boat". Contact: Alex Alley. Address: 24A Lynn Road, London SW12 9LA. Tel.: 0770 282 3837. AUSTRALIAN F1 SUPERBOAT SERIES
The term Formula 1 provides in itself an aura of elite competition, speed and excellence. F1 Superboats are the ultimate in outboard circuit racing and provide all of the elements a motor sporting enthusiast would desire or expect from this premier form of competition. For those not familiar with the sport the initial sight of an F1 boat can be awe-inspiring. Corporations wanting to partner with this extreme water sport understand that the underpinning factor is its appeal to the television medium - much the same as their tarmac cousins F1 are ready made for television - and with that come the benefits that help the Series to grow, the competition to become stronger, the public awareness to broaden and the introduction of new sponsors to this exciting sport. The Series is televised on Channel Nine/NBN and Fox Sports offering Series sponsors maximum exposure for their investment. The Series has obtained strong support from local and national companies along with a growing support from local and state governments. Due to the larger audiences, the Series is also a tourist attraction in areas where these events are being held. Following overwhelming growth in the last two years, the Series is now moving the events closer to larger centres, to capitalise on the large audiences and commercial benefits, further enhancing the sport's future growth. There are many marketing partnership sponsor packages available, most with the ability to be tailored to each company's marketing objectives, key brand values and specific product exposure. All key sponsorship packages include extensive media promotional campaigns and can include (but are not limited to) any or all of the following print media (newspaper, display posters, event programs, pre/post race articles in national boating magazines), television (Channel Nine/NBN, Fox Sports), radio, website and site promotions (media launches, shopping centre displays, event displays, F1 Supergirl Quest). Contact: Kirk Tsaccounis, Managing Director. Address: 618 Port Hacking Road, Dolans Bay, Sydney 2229. Tel.: 0415 445 386. E-mail: kirk@f1boat.com.au. link to website
