Allen & York to continue sponsorship of edie awards
 

Recruitment company Allen & York has been named as sponsor for the Best Employer category of edie's Awards for Environmental Excellence, which will be held in November. The company sponsored the same category in the inaugural awards last year and has decided to continue its successful partnership.

Expert The Awards for Environmental Excellence seek to recognise the important work being done by environmental consultancies in the UK and further afield. The awards are split into two distinct sections, those for work on environmental projects judged by an expert panel and those where the winners are chosen by those who know the consultancies the best - their clients. The purpose of the awards is to give winning companies or projects a touch of kudos, setting it apart from its peers, making it stand out from the crowd and even acting as a unique selling point - and also giving staff a feeling of pride as the quality of their work is recognised by people outside the company.   The judged awards cover projects in Carbon Reduction, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Construction, Waste & Recycling, Green Corporate Initiatives, Water & Wastewater. The deadline for putting forward a project is June 13th and entry forms can be downloaded from the edie awards page. The awards will be presented at a first class awards dinner at London's Natural History Museum on Thursday, 13th November, 2008.
