Net effect of sponsoring the Online Business Awards will be major exposure in both electronic and traditional media

The Online Business Awards (previously the Internet Business Awards) are targeted at UK online SME businesses and sit alongside their sister projects: the well established Online Retail Awards; the Online Retail Conferences; and the new Online Business & Retail PR Awards.

There is a new list of categories for 2016, more attuned to an online world for UK SMEs. Mobile business sites will feature strongly, but more traditional website activities will remain the bedrock.

The Call for Entries opens on October 1st each year and the closing date for entries is January 31st. For 2016, the Awards will be celebrated on May 26th at a special lunchtime event at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.

The Online Business Awards focus on enterprising UK SMEs and aim to recognise the best in Britain, drawn from all the nations within the United Kingdom. Scottish and Welsh companies have met with great success and the name change will not hinder any of those SMEs from again achieving great things.

Leading companies seeking to encourage and reward great online business experiences, effectiveness and best practice will support the Online Business Awards. They will include the trade press, major search engines, online payment services, supply chain providers, optimization and online marketing companies, ISPs and many others.

The organisers aim to foster longer term relationships with partners/supporters and two-way relationships built, ensuring supporters benefit from positive exposure and the Awards benefit from the credible support of major companies.

Supporting organizations benefit from electronic media exposure (in the form of web site and trade press editorial content), email activity, e-bulletins and e-ads on search engines.

They will also gain exposure in more traditional media such as direct mail, editorial in trade titles, carefully selected display advertising and support from official partners/supporters, as well as high visibility on the day of the Awards luncheon.
