Totton Carnival gets welcome sponsorship boost from Totton College

Totton College, a vocational centre of excellence in Southampton that seeks to meet the needs of business and the community, has announced that it will be the main sponsor for the Totton Carnival until 2020.

This popular community carnival, which first ran over 100 years ago, helps to raise money for local causes.

The carnival was previously under threat due to a lack of community support and funding to help pay for insurance, medical cover and security costs.

Totton College has agreed a £5,000 deal that will see it become the main sponsor of the carnival up to 2020.

It has also offered facilities for committee meetings during the run up to the 2018 event.

Totton College officially joined Nacro on 1st December, 2015, as part of its Education Directorate. 2015 was Nacro's fiftieth anniversary and to reflect the breadth of its work, it changed its name to Nacro: A social justice charity
