NZC/PL002	YOUNG DIGGERS Young Diggers (YD) is an Australian and New Zealand ex-service organisation dedicated to providing online welfare and transition assistance to the men and women of the Australian Defence Forces and their families. All YD services are provided by volunteers and the organisation is wholly reliant on upon the support of sponsors and volunteers. Membership is free and open to both serving and ex-service personnel. The YD site attracts up to 2,000 hits per month with an ever-increasing membership. YD is highly regarded as filling a unique niche in the defence community and is seen as innovative and a worthy partner in several exciting projects and initiatives. Sponsors are promoted on the YD site and are also given the opportunity to be featured on YD literature. Potential sponsors can also be personally appraised of the aims and functions of YD.
