Arena BLM secures Alan Titchmarsh show ITV sponsorship for Warner Leisure Hotels

Arena BLM, the Havas-owned media planning and buying group, has secured a deal with ITV for luxury award-winning hotel group Warner Leisure Hotels, to sponsor ITV1's daytime chat show, The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

The Alan Titchmarsh Show, which starts transmitting at the end of September, follows on from the success of Warner Leisure Hotels' sponsorship of the ITV primetime dramas, The Palace and Harley Street, both of which were on ITV1 in 2008.

As part of the six-figure deal, Warner Leisure Hotels will receive broadcast sponsorship credits, plus branding and promotional opportunities online at ITV.com.

The deal was negotiated between Sam McCormick, TV Manager at Arena BLM and Josie Talbot, Sponsorship Manager at ITV. The sponsorship will be supported by TV airtime and newspaper and direct marketing activity.

Chris Armond, Arena BLM business director, said: "TV sponsorship has been one of the big successes across the last two years for Warner Leisure Hotels and has generated huge spikes in sales, brochure requests and brand awareness.

"The Alan Titchmarsh Show is bang on targeting for Warners' heartland consumer

and we are confident it will work as well, if not better than, previous sponsorship activity."

Impact

Sarah Harding, marketing manager at Warner Leisure Hotels, was equally upbeat about the new deal: "We were very pleased with the results of previous sponsorships and have been looking for strong, relevant opportunities for a while.

"The Alan Titchmarsh Show will appeal to our core guest market and we are confident in the positive impact the show will have for further development of the Warner Leisure Hotels' brand".
