A swan research/veterinary medical team from The Regal Swan Foundation, Inc. in Kissimmee, Florida, has been invited to serve as the swan veterinary medical team for the Abbottsbury Swannery in England in July 2011.

Swan keepers from around the world participate in this semi-annual event which sees 1,000+ swans being captured, examined for disease and general health, vaccinated and released.

"The Regal Swan's veterinary medical team has been asked to serve as the veterinarians for this year's event due to our research based knowledge regarding swans as well as the limited number of veterinarians with this specialized expertise.

"We are in need of airline tickets and accommodations for eight team members July 18-25th of 2011.

"Team members will advertise the sponsor in all media interviews - on a previous trip, The Regal Swan members were depicted in a documentary by the UK's BBC (Inside Lines), filmed by the local and national BBC, interviewed by BBC International and various radio stations and newspapers (internationally, nationally and locally).

"Team members will also wear the sponsor's logo on team uniforms during the event and conduct pre/post interviews for the sponsor, as well as keeping a daily log posted on Facebook, Twitter and other swan-related websites of the team's activities, with the sponsor being listed on each daily posting".
