| Trisha Tack, Freddy Floorboard, Sammy Staple - some of the many characters who are helping young children to read at the educational website Intro 300.Mr. Rob and Mrs. Chris White started the project in 1997, launching the website in 2001 with the intention of offering "a safe environment that children and families could go to while they were online". The pages of Intro 300 (a site 'built for families by a family') are populated by the Nail Family and Friends, who have many exciting adventures in stories such as Burt's Birthday, Day At The Fair and Baby Nail Gets Lost. At present the site carries a small charge for access to some of the stories, though many areas containing pictures, times tables and other activities are offered free of charge. But sponsorship is sought so that everyone can have free access to the whole of the site.
