NDAF HOPES ARTS SPONSORS HAVE THE ABILITY TO OFFER THEM SUPPORT

The National Disability Arts Form (NDAF) aims to create equality of opportunity for disabled people in all aspects of the arts.

The organisation supports the development of disability arts agencies throughout the UK, on both a regional and local basis, maintaining and developing a network via which these agencies can offer each other support and assistance. It aims to undertake at least one major arts project a year that is targeted directly at disabled people.

The Forum was founded in 1991, when, at a conference in Lancaster, over 200 disabled artists and disability arts organisations formed the NDAF as a means of uniting and serving the growing disability arts movement in the UK, also seeking to develop links with similar organisations across Europe. It has always been a forward-thinking body: in the mid-90s it was one of the first arts organisations to launch a website and develop an IT strategy.

Current projects include Getting Noticed, a programme of activities aimed at younger disabled people which includes an exhibition of forty posters advertising events featuring the work of disabled people; an educational resource pack, which provides teachers with material to assist with discussions about the project; and a website which guides visitors through the exhibition and into the world of disability arts. Many other projects are also under way currently.

NDAF are keen to speak to potential sponsors about a number of attractive sponsorship opportunities.
