IRIS THEATRE LOOKS TO OPEN SPONSORS' EYES TO BENEFITS OF THEIR FIRST PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTION

Iris Theatre is a new theatre company born out of the experience and energy of several Central Saint Martins (Drama Centre) theatre graduates, both recent and more senior. The company's first professional production, in March 2007, will be Murder in the Cathedral by T.S. Eliot.

They intend to combine music and theatre into an electric evening of entertainment. The company has already secured the dramatic and central location of St. Pauls Church, Covent Garden, a Grade I listed Inigo Jones-designed building of national significance. St Pauls is experienced in presenting a wide variety of differing performances, from charity galas to lunchtime concerts - and everything between. Iris Theatre have provisionally booked in for the two weeks from March 19th to March 31st, 2007.

The group needs to raise a total of around £6,000 in sponsorship to make this two-week project economically viable and is looking for around £1,000 sponsorship from each of its partners. Of course any support, large or small, would be welcomed. They have already had a sizeable donation from the Worshipful Company of Mercers.

All partners in the production would benefit from displays on all publicity materials, including

having their logo prominently positioned on two 2m by 1.5m banners attached to the outside of St. Pauls, Covent Garden; "the footfall through Covent Garden past this location must be in the hundreds of thousands and the banners will be in place for almost all of March to advertise the production"

having their logo prominently placed on all advertisements in the local London press

having their logo on all flyers (10,000+) and posters - "these flyers will be handed out in Covent Garden throughout March. We also intend to target the congregations of the Catholic and Anglican Churches in London"

having their name and logo on all email and online promotions - "we hope to persuade many city organisations to allow us to contact their staff and members"

having their logo prominently displayed on the company's new website

having their logo on all programmes.

As a partner each sponsor would also be eligible for a large number of complimentary tickets for the show. Finally, it should be noted that a significant percentage of sponsors' money will go directly to supporting St Pauls, Covent Garden.

"This church is an invaluable asset in the spiritual and cultural life of the whole of London and its outreach is truly global thanks to its central location".
