SUFFOLK NEW COLLEGE ON COURSE TO OFFER SPONSORS THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD THEIR CORPORATE PROFILE

From 1st August, 2007, Suffolk College will become Suffolk New College. It will continue to offer high quality further education courses, including vocational programmes, AS/A levels and Apprenticeships, currently available at Suffolk College.

Student achievement and retention success rates place the College in the top quartile of 16-18 provision and in the top 10% of 19+ provision in further education establishments. The College continues to sustain quality improvement with year on year enhancement.

Demolition of buildings to the north of the current Suffolk College site is now underway to create space for the new £60 million further education college planned for the site. Ipswich Borough Council granted planning permission in October 2006, allowing the contractors to work with the design team to maximise value and space in the new buildings.

The largest building will wrap around a three storey atrium providing circulation and dining space for the 2,000 students that are expected to use the building every day. The four storey southern block provides the core teaching space and specialist workshops.

Suffolk New College is scheduled to open in autumn 2008 and will form a key element of the Education Quarter as part of the Ipswich Waterfront, an area of exciting developments and prosperity. Every town needs a focal point and the Ipswich Waterfront in the centre of Ipswich is fast realising its potential with a variety of schemes including housing, retail, restaurants, offices and community areas.

Suffolk New College would like to offer sponsors the opportunity to be involved in the £60 million new college redevelopment. "Enhance your corporate image by supporting this prestigious new profile development and become involved in the development of the Education Quarter in Ipswich's Waterfront". A range of sponsorship opportunities are available.
