EARTHWIRE PRODUCTIONS
Earthwire Productions is a West Auckland (NZ) based family film company. They are looking for individual company support of up to $5,000 to contribute towards the production of an original New Zealand feature film. The overall production budget is $200,000. Journey Of A Story follows the life of William Brown, a fictitious New Zealand serviceman both physically and emotionally damaged by his tour of duty in Europe and time as a prisoner of war during World War II. The early parts of the film are based on actual wartime letters, events and correspondence from Private George Parrish. George was captured in Greece after the bombing of the Hellas and spent time as a POW in Austria. The events, which take place after William's return to New Zealand at the conclusion of the war, are fictional. "We have received letters of endorsement from both the Auckland President of the Royal New Zealand Returned Services Association and from the National President of the Returned and Services League of Australia. While the lead character is a New Zealander, the film also features an Australian in a key supporting role. Both New Zealand and Australian soldiers feature. There has been a huge increase in interest in ANZAC Day commemorations and the events of the time. The feedback we have had to date is that there are not enough Australasian stories being told in the medium of film. We think we are ideally placed to produce a compelling, interesting story that will not only appeal to Australasian audiences but also further afield. The film is being made on a non-profit basis. We intend to give some of the proceeds to both the NZRSA and the RSL. We have produced a 3 minute 'promo' of a scene from the film, so that you may get an idea for the look and feel of the project. This can be viewed on our website, and is available on DVD format on request. In the meantime, if you would like to find out more about Earthwire Productions and this project in particular, you can visit our website: www.earthwire.co.nz". Contact: Kay Rayner, Assistant Producer. Address: 33 Carling Avenue, Massey, Auckland, New Zealand 0614. Tel.: 0064 9 832 7580. Email: kay@earthwire.co.nz.

MUSIC DESIGN AWARDS
The Music Design Awards recognise designers, worldwide, for the outstanding work they do for the music industry, at every level. To those in the know, designing for the music industry takes hard, hard work and real innovation - strokes of brilliance underscored with inspiration - leading to spectacular end results. Design for the music industry is unrelentingly challenging and occupies the minds of the world's most inspired, leading-edge designers and design houses. The Music Design Awards represent an opportunity for designers around the world to enter their projects for clients. The awards are truly global in context and open to designers from all regions. There are sixty-two awards to win - eleven project categories across five music genre groupings and seven continental region categories. Leading companies seeking to encourage and reward great design for the music industry support the Music Design Awards, such as Eye magazine and Art Vinyl, who supported the launch Awards in 2009. The organisers of the Music Design Awards are keen to foster longer term relationships with partners/supporters and build enduring two-way relationships, ensuring supporters benefit from positive exposure and the Awards benefit from the credible support of companies for whom the link between design and music is important. Supporting organisations will benefit from electronic media exposure (in the form of website and editorial content), email activity, e-bulletins and e-ads on search engines. They will also gain exposure in more traditional media such as direct mail, editorial in trade titles, carefully selected display advertising and support from media partners. NZA/0001 CARMEN SALVADOR TOUR
Carmen Salvador is a female Chilean songwriter who mixes latin rhythms with pop, resulting in a modern and unique sound. Her work evokes folkloric music by using typical Chilean instruments - and yet it sounds global and pop. She interprets vocals, piano and guitar, accompanied by three musicians in drums, bass, guitar and some ethnic instruments. This original and universal style has earned Carmen Salvador a spot in some of New Zealand´s biggest festivals and iconic live music venues. The tour is a three month experience to be shared with the rest of the world through MySpace, YouTube and Facebook, with an estimated audience of around 6,000 people. In return for sponsorship support, the Carmen Salvador New Zealand Summer Tour will offer extensive promotion of the sponsor's brand as a named sponsor on all appropriate media releases, marketing material and online and social media marketing, both in New Zealand and Chile. This also extends to banner advertising on stage and brand flyers handed to CD buyers. Contact: Carmen Salvador, Songwriter. E-mail: carmanikka@gmail.com
