Countdown begins for opportunities to sponsor CSSA Portsmouth's celebration of the Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year celebrations begin on 23rd January, 2012 and end on Lantern Festival, 6th February 2012. The dragon will be the icon of this 2012 Chinese year.
Chinese Students & Scholars Association in Portsmouth is planning to hold a Chinese New Year Stage Show in the New Theatre Royal (20-24 Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth PO1 2DD) on 5th February, 2012.
"About three hundred people are expected to attend the show, and we are planning to play New Year greeting videos for our sponsors during the event.
"For best advertising effect, we will also print our sponsors' logos and short advertising text/contact information on our event brochures. If required we can even print your information on the tickets; however, it depends on how much you would like to offer.
"There are about a thousand Chinese students studying at the University of Portsmouth - so this could be a great opportunity for your company to promote your products/services. Our association is run by voluntary students and managed by the Chinese Embassy in London, and we have regular activities during the whole term period.
"In addition, we will donate 25% of our ticket revenue and sponsorship funds to helping children in poverty-stricken mountain areas of China, to be confirmed by an official notarisation.
"The rest of the funds will all be spent on the organisation of the stage show".
