With twelve years' marketing experience, and most recently employed as a Director of Marketing in Financial Services, Sophie Morris has proved her ability and been promoted quickly within each company she has worked for. "I have also been a Chartered Marketer since 2007. I now run my own business, Millharbour Marketing, a marketing consultancy based in London, to help other companies make the most of their marketing, and in particular, sport sponsorship. This is an area that I feel is rarely utilised to its full potential and I want to change that. I spent the last four of the eight years at my most recent employer as Director of Marketing. As well as being responsible for the entire marketing activity for the firm, I managed the sponsorship of the Barbarians rugby team. It was during these four years that I built considerable contacts in the world of rugby and became a huge fan of the sport. Since January 2012 I have spent my spare time volunteering as Communications Officer on the management committee of a local rugby club, where I have increased their sponsorship income by 510%. The county level Development Committee then asked me to join them develop the game for all clubs in the region. They also asked me to present to all clubs on sponsorship best practice and the RFU now use that content in a nationwide initiative to help clubs. Most recently I was invited on to the Rugby World Cup 2015 Activation & Legacy Group, which aims to ensure that we are ready for the event in two years' time and that we make the most of it. Oh, and I play rugby as well! However, all business are different; different sizes; budgets, resources, objectives and values, and therefore they all need a different approach to their marketing strategy. I specialise in rugby sponsorship and marketing, because I love rugby, but as a Chartered Marketer and, with twelve years of broad marketing experience across a number of sectors, I can help you with any aspect of your marketing. I can help with advice to a single person start-up, or come in at the strategic level in a FTSE100 company. I can look at specific areas such as sponsorship, social media, search engine optimisation, etc. or undertake an entire review of your current marketing and provide a new strategy and implementation plan and measurement. I can do this for you, or train your team to do it. If you don't have a team, I can help you build one. And anything in between!"

SponsorBank is acutely aware of the struggle most, if not all, sports clubs have reconciling the need to spend time fund raising with the desire to work on improving the quality of the team. Many hours spent organising car boot sales, Christmas Draws, selling 'football cards' and collecting in subscriptions to lotteries and '200' clubs, detract from the job in hand! SponsorBank is a company dedicated to assisting all grass roots sports clubs throughout the UK. It has a wealth of experience in attracting funding for clubs. As part of the SponsorBank sporting 'family', you can access advice and assistance on all aspects of funding including grants, applications for charitable status, tax-efficient donations from members, club lotteries, income generating programmes and attracting sponsorship. Income generation, with the minimum fuss and effort, is the key to a successful sports club at any level. The best of it is - there is no cost to your club for joining together with SponsorBank. Backroom Operations boast a position as the best and most respected skateboard events and tours organisers in the UK. They also handle rider sponsorship and many other aspects of the sport. With over fifteen years' experience in the field, unmatchable industry contacts and a proven track record you really can't go wrong. If you have a product or a brand aimed at the youth sector, here's a good way to reach your market rather than with outdated traditional means. The company recognises that the image of skaters is of a load of hoodie-wearing drop outs - but a recent demographic study has shown this to be a massive 'urban myth', with the largest percentage coming from Category A homes and many of the 21+ age group being successful young professionals with high disposable incomes. More and more focus is being heaped upon pushing the young into more physical activity and better health. Skateboarding attracts exactly the kind of people that aren't interested in the traditional team sports taught in schools and who could easily go on without any access to sport. "Do you want to reach this rapidly growing market? Then contact us NOW and let us work out which option best suits your marketing and advertising strategy and how we can cater for your needs".
