THE SOLENT EYE
The Solent Eye is a £4m attraction planned for Southsea, Hampshire. The Solent Eye will be the UK's first dedicated 180 feet high restaurant and scenic viewing wheel. The Solent Eye will be situated adjacent to the existing Clarence Pier Amusement Complex on Southsea's Clarence Esplanade. The Wheel will allow visitors to take in the stunning views of the ever-changing Solent Bay, Portsmouth's busy harbour and the Isle Of Wight. The company behind the venture, Billy Manning Limited, will privately fund the majority of the attraction. The company is seeking one major sponsor. The terms of the sponsorship are negotiable and in return the sponsor's information will be given prime placement on the attraction itself (similar to "The British Airways London Eye") and on all associated products. Planning permission has already been granted for The Solent Eye, and the manufacturer has commenced production.
