KEW CRICKET CLUB





Kew Cricket Club, formed in 1737, plays on the last remaining village green in London. In the 2005 season the 1st XI were promoted to Division 1 of the Thames Valley League. The club boasts four Saturday teams and up to three Sunday teams. Kew Green is situated on the South Circular next to Kew Bridge. Crowds of over a thousand are a regular feature at the ground, as it is conveniently situated right outside the main gates of the historic Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. The ground itself has recently been made a National Heritage site. The club is currently looking for a suitable sponsor to sign up a one year extendable deal. Last Man Stands is seeking a sponsor for all eight cricket leagues in its new version of 20 over cricket, aimed at amateur players in London. The winner of each cricket league will play in the London Champions League Cup. The best eight cricket players in each league will play in the London Dream Team competition. The winner of the Champions League team will play the winner of the champions league Cup, and the winner of that will be flown to Edinburgh to take on eight Scottish internationals. The membership is purely aimed at amateur players in and around the villages of Marton/Birdingbury and is located in the heart of Warwickshire in the village of Marton. MEDBOURNE CRICKET CLUB
Medbourne Cricket Club is located in the Welland Valley, in rural South Leicestershire. The membership is predominantly children aged from 6 to 18, with typically ninety of those being coached on a summer Saturday morning. Medbourne has had District and County representation in Leicestershire youth teams for some years, and last year won the U13 County Cup. In addition, the Club's Men's team was promoted to Division 1 of the Rutland League. The Club pursues a 'cricket for all' policy, with a friendly welcome for anyone interested in the game. Coaching is available for everyone, with winter nets provided as well. The Club attracts members from a wide geographic area and wishes to attract more.
