THE FOUR NATIONS GOLF CHALLENGE Concierge Golf has created an attractive and stimulating annual amateur golf tournament which gives competitive members of UK golf clubs the rare opportunity to represent their country. The Four Nations Golf Challenge (FNGC), potentially the most exciting team competition for amateur club golfers ever devised, offers the mouth-watering prize of a "Ryder Cup"-style finale on one of Europe's most challenging courses - entries are now open for the 2012 competition. Over the years, the Ryder Cup has demonstrated the patriotism and sporting emotions triggered by competition between nations. The honour and opportunity for club golfers across all handicap levels to represent their country has stimulated a high level of interest. "The Four Nations Golf Challenge Grand Final promises to be a 'must see' event for golfers throughout Europe and by being televised on Sky Sports will create excellent opportunities for a limited number of associated partners to promote their brand, products and services! The Four Nations Golf Challenge is actively promoted through an aggressive combination of golf media press releases, editorials, magazine advertising, online teaser and awareness campaigns and targeted direct response campaigns. All such promotion is designed to drive UK and Irish club golfers to The Four Nations Golf Challenge website - www.fournationsgolfchallenge.co.uk - where our partner's brand, products and services are promoted together with a direct link to their own website. The promotional opportunities provided by TV coverage of the event are not limited to just the actual broadcast but offer companies with vision and creative flair a promotional vehicle which spans pre- and post-event over a period of some eighteen months. A one-hour television programme on a commercial channel such as Sky Sports provides forty-seven minutes of actual TV time. Within those forty-seven minutes, various tactics can be deployed to effectively promote an individual, company, product or service. Concierge Golf will work co-operatively with sponsors to create an effective promotional package that meets their requirements". Contact: Roger Brady, Director. By introducing inflatable golf driving ranges, the company wishes to ensure that inner city areas across the UK are not discriminated against by being deprived of opportunities to experience the game of golf; they also believe that it is very important to introduce golf's code of etiquette and special skills, features that are rarely found in other sports. CALLAWAY JUNIOR WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP: HAYDEN COWLER "We're looking for sponsorship for our six year old son, Hayden Cowler, who has qualified as the UK representative in his age group for the Junior World Golf Championship in San Diego in July 2012. Our only hope of Hayden competing is to raise funds to cover the cost of the trip and we hope that the opportunity to support a promising UK sportsman and to associate your brand with a UK representative at this great tournament will appeal to you. Here's a little background Hayden is six years old and will compete in the '6 years and under' division. Here's a link to him during his qualifying round - http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=S1xDGlMl0kg The Junior World Golf Championship has taken place in San Diego each year since 1968; for more information on the event: http://www.juniorworldgolf.com/node/3. Hayden qualified for the world event by winning the 6 years and under category at the recent UK qualifier held at the Wildwood Country Resort in Surrey - here's a link to the scoreboard - http://www.gmintgolfschools.co.uk/Callaway%202012/Wildwood%20Q-2%20Tee%20Time.htm When he was five years old, given his association with the East Midlands Academy and the Derbyshire Academy, he competed over a season in the Derbyshire Futures Tour. Despite being only five and competing in the under 10 category - he was about half the size of the other players - he qualified for the order of merit final. We are incredibly proud of Hayden's achievements in golf and would love to be able to take him to compete in the Junior World Golf Championship. Realistically, we know we can only do this if we are successful in raising sponsorship to cover the cost of the trip. It is for this reason that we hope your organisation might be keen to support us and, we hope, benefit from a positive association. I hope we've provided some useful background here to Hayden's achievements so far, his potential and the event that we are hoping he'll be able to take part in. Of course, if there is any more information that would be useful or if there is any aspect it would be useful to discuss, please let me know (my full contact details are below). Hayden is also playing numerous events this year in the British juniors tour, all over the country". Contact: Simon Cowler, 55 Wisgreaves Road, Alvaston, Derby DE24 8RQ. Tel.: 07973 380186. GOLF FRONTIERS (was GLOBALGOLFERS.COM)
In January 2010, International Pairs and Globalgolfers.com merged to become the largest grass roots amateur golf company in the world. For the last ten years International Pairs and Globalgolfers have been friendly rivals in the amateur golf market. While International Pairs was building the largest Club event on a global basis, Globalgolfers was building a combined membership and tournament organisation dedicated to looking after the needs of the casual/disenfranchised golfer. Both companies have built a strong brand amongst the general golfing population and built their reputations on delivering unrivalled events to the golf enthusiast. The merger brings all the assets under one roof, which includes Globalgolfers online membership scheme and tournaments and International Pairs. "We are looking for individuals, who share our passion for amateur golf tournaments, event management, marketing, promotion and sponsorship. This is an opportunity to join a fantastic team, delivering quality promotions and managing the very best national golf events and club tournaments across the globe. Operating in twenty-five countries around the world, we have already secured an invaluable network of long term, supporting partners and the recent merger has created an even stronger brand, database and product offering, facilitating the launch of this new and lucrative business opportunity under our UK Licensee programme". IMG LEADBETTER UK JUNIOR GOLF TOUR David Leadbbetter is probably the best-known golf coach in the world. He is based at Champions Gate, Florida, where he teaches major champions like Nick Faldo, Paula Creamer, Ian Poulter, Ernie Els and Nick Price. The IMG Leadbetter Junior Golf Tour was developed to fill a key niche in junior golf, providing an elite setting in which junior golfers could compete and raise their game. Off the course, the tour provides information and advice for players and their parents on a range of subjects from nutrition to mental performance and American College recruiting. This tour is coming to the UK for a 36 hole event this year during the last week of October, with a projected roll-out across the country in 2012. The opportunity: the Junior Tour gives sponsors the opportunity to reach junior golfers aged 11 to 18, their parents and friends, with appropriate messages from the initial advertising and contact right through to the prize giving by a recognised Tour Player on the final day. Sponsors will be able to brand printed material, communications, advertising, the course, giveaways and prizes - but the investment required is small. A full communications and PR team will bring the competition to the widest attention, including sports TV channels, TV, radio, newspapers and golf magazines. Sponsors will be credited using all opportunities available. The event will make a charity donation to an appropriate beneficiary - Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, where Prince William was operated on after being hit across his forehead with a seven iron. NATIONAL NINES OF EUROPE GOLF SERIES
The National Nines of Europe Golf Series is a series of three competitions for 9-hole golf clubs throughout the UK, Republic of Ireland, France and Holland with Grand Finals held in Jersey, CI each year. Now in its sixth year, the event has grown to become the premier event for all 9-hole golf clubs. Although this is a niche market, the opportunities to develop are enormous and such has been the success of its move into Europe that the organisation is now in talks to expand into Austria, Italy, Norway and Iceland. Current supporters are Jersey Tourism and Jersey Department of Sport, Education & Culture, who have supported the event from its outset in 1999 and will continue to do so. However, the organisers tell us that they are now planning significant expansion, with super opportunities available for one major title sponsor for all competitions or three sponsors to each take title for the three individual events in the series - Golf Classic (3 man team, Stableford), Ladies Team Matchplay and Seniors Betterball. Each event culminates in a Grand Final played in Jersey each September. Throughout the year high profile is given at all regional qualifiers in the UK and this, suggests the organisation, is a golden chance for small companies to gain wide exposure at low cost, eg to take title sponsorship for the Ladies Team Matchplay would cost only £4,000 pa. REALITY LEAGUE GOLF Reality League Golf is a completely new concept in competitive golf. The website was launched in March 2011 and is targeting club golfers across the globe. The concept is to allow club golfers to compete with other club golfers from all over the world without the need to travel. The process is very simple: club golfers continue to play in their Club Qualifying Competitions and submit a copy of their results to Reality League Golf via their online account (complete with the appropriate evidence). The focus is not on what scores they shoot but where they finish in their respective competitions. World Ranking Points are awarded, depending on where they finish and points are accumulated over the course of the golfing season. The Leaderboard can be filtered by each category for Gents, Ladies, Juniors and Seniors and can also be filtered by Country, County or State and even by Club. Reality League Golf is seeking between ten and twelve main sponsors whose logos or promotional material will be displayed on every page of the website, which has the potential to be visited by every club golfer in the world. Sponsorship will be at a cost of £5,000 each and the funding will be predominantly used for promoting the website across the globe in particular countries which have a strong presence of golf clubs and golf club members. There will be an extensive prize fund for the winners at the end of the season and it is hoped that some of these prizes can be purchased from the main sponsors themselves. Contact: Stephen Cavell, Managing Director. Address: 1 Appleby Court, Worksop, Nottinghamshire S81 7QJ. Tel.: 01909 482029. E-mail: scavell@realityleaguegolf.com. link to website
