Barclaycard confirmed as headline sponsor for Hyde Park Summer Events

Barclaycard, the leading global payment business, has signed a five year exclusive partnership with AEG Global Partnerships and The Royal Parks to be the headline sponsor for Hyde Park summer events from 2013.

This marks the first major brand partnership deal signed since AEG (Europe) was awarded the Hyde Park contract at the end of last year.

Paul Samuels, Senior Vice President, AEG Global Partnerships, said: "Since our contract began at the end of last year to promote the Hyde Park events from 2013, our focus has been to firstly develop a never seen before series of events and then, to find the right long term headline partner. Barclaycard has strong credentials in entertainment and music sponsorship, including the Mercury Music Prize. With a wealth of experience in this space, Barclaycard is the natural partner for the Hyde Park summer events, and will provide all on site banking including contactless solutions, delivering greater payment simplicity, security and convenience. Barclaycard will bring fast track entry for Barclaycard customers along with a branded hospitality area and a 48 hour pre-sale period for their customers.
