| OEN/0005 | SARAH ROBINSON'S SCHOOL OF COMMERCIAL DANCE Sarah Robinson is a freelance dance artist based around the Wakefield area. She provides dance workshops to schools, youth clubs and fitness centres. Since starting out as a dance teacher, she has always had a passion for developing dance within her local community, giving youngsters that wouldn't normally be offered the opportunity to be taken to a dance class, the chance to attend good quality sessions, right on their doorstep. The biggest success to come from this initiative has been her dance school (Sarah Robinson's School Of Commercial Dance), which she runs in Castleford, West Yorkshire. Currently she has over seventy students, attending classes in Cheerleading, Street Dance, Contemporary, Ballet and Musical Theatre. Many students come come from under-privileged areas and therefore do not have the means to purchase costumes, poms, tracksuits, etc. During the Summer, they are invited to perform in numerous outdoor events (sports events, galas, carnivals, etc.) and it would be wonderful for them all to have correct attire and equipment. The School is also hoping to take a small number of students to perform in next year's Dance GrandPrix, a prestigious international dance competition held in Spain and Italy. Although the students are working hard on raising monies through sponsored events, it would be of immense assistance if the school was to receive sponsorship/contributions from local businesses and individuals wishing to help. Further details on Sarah's Dance School and contact details can be obtained from the website. Contact: Jim Seaman. Address: 46 Henson Grove, Castleford, West Yorkshire WF10 3JF. Tel.: 07951 713997.
