Scottish Hydro continue support for Team Scottish Hydro

Scottish Hydro have announced continued support for Scotland's Challenge Tour representatives as the members of their Team Scottish Hydro golf squad for 2013 were announced as Jack Doherty, Andrew McArthur, Jamie McLeary, George Murray and Lloyd Saltman.

Now in the third year, Team Scottish Hydro has already helped Craig Lee, Chris Doak and Callum Macaulay secure places on the European Tour and it is hoped that some of this year's recipients will follow in their footsteps.

Scottish Hydro has been a committed supporter of the European Challenge Tour since 2009, and this year's Scottish Hydro Challenge hosted by MacDonald Hotels and Resorts, also supported by EventScotland, returns to the Spey Valley course in Aviemore on 20th to 23rd June.

Craig Lee, 2011 Team Scottish Hydro graduate to The European Tour, said: "Team Scottish Hydro is a fantastic support for young Scottish professionals. The Challenge Tour is very competitive and the all-round support I received helped massively". McArthur, McLeary and Doherty keep their places and they are joined by newcomers Murray and Saltman.

McArthur, who is receiving support for a second year, commented: "I am delighted to be a part of Team Scottish Hydro again. I am very grateful for the continued support and I am determined to build on the successful start that I have made to this season and repeat Chris and Callum's success of last year".

Murray, winner of the Scottish Hydro Challenge in 2010 and one of this year's newcomers, said: "Having narrowly missed out on keeping my European Tour card last season, I am well aware of what is required to get myself back to where I feel I belong. This support is greatly appreciated at a very important stage in my career".
