Wolves introduce Superbug as new Main Sponsor

Wolves have agreed a new one-year main sponsorship agreement with Silverbug, an industry leading organisation providing a range of IT services for the business and education markets. They have offices across the UK and in the United States.

As part of a significant six-figure cash deal, Silverbug's brand will appear on the 2015/16 home and away shirts and on all technical training kit.

Silverbug, whose Managing Director Owen Daley is a lifelong Wolves fan, have already offered to change their brand colour of red to black on the home shirts.

The 2015/16 Silverbug-branded home kits will be seen for the first time at the Wolves End of Season Dinner on 6th May, 2015 with the club simultaneously issuing pictures of the kit on wolves.co.uk and across all its social media channels.

The home kit will be available to pre-order online, for either home delivery or click & collect, from Wednesday evening and Wolves will announce more details in due course regarding when the home kit will be available in-store.

The 2015/16 away shirt will be launched in the close season and Wolves will issue more details in due course.

The Wolves/Silverbug association stretches back fifteen years, when Wolves became one of Silverbug's first clients. Since then the two organisations have enjoyed a very successful working relationship and Silverbug have been a key part of major IT infrastructure projects such as the £22 million Stan Cullis Stand redevelopment, £8 million Academy development at Compton Park, as well as providing 24/7 IT helpdesk support for the whole business.

Silverbug have picked up the main club sponsorship mantle from What House? after a very successful three year association with Wolves, which started with "back of shirt" sponsorship in the 2012/13 Sky Bet Championship, before they progressed to main club sponsor for the 2013/14 and 2014/15 campaigns.

Jez Moxey, Wolves Chief Executive, said: "We're delighted to welcome Silverbug on board as the main club sponsor for the 2015/16 season. We have a fifteen-year strong association with Silverbug, whilst their Managing Director, Owen Daley, has been a Wolves supporter since he was a youngster.

"Silverbug have been a crucial business partner for Wolves for well over a decade. They have played a key role in helping us deliver our club plans and have ensured we stay at the very forefront of IT developments, benefitting the club and supporters. We share the same values, and consider them part of the extended Wolves family. I look forward to working with Owen and his highly professional team in the future, not only in helping us develop the club's IT requirements but also to promote Silverbug, through the main club sponsorship, to businesses that I know could benefit from the services they offer.

"Silverbug are a very successful, international company and, as our new main club sponsor, they have the perfect platform to grow their business and raise awareness of their industry-leading IT services to small and medium-sized businesses through to large corporate organisations. From a club point of view, it's a timely commercial boost with planning well underway – both on and off the pitch – for the upcoming 2015/16 Sky Bet Championship campaign.

"I'd like to thank What House? for their support over the last three years, two of them spent as the Main Club Sponsor. It's been a great relationship and, on behalf of the club, I’d like to thank them and wish them all the best for the future".

Owen Daley, Managing Director, Silverbug, commentd: "As a lifelong fan of Wolves, I'm delighted that my company, Silverbug, will be the club's main sponsor for the 2015/16 season. Having been involved with the Club behind the scenes for fifteen years, I personally know the Wolves family very well and so when the opportunity came up I grabbed it with both hands.

"Silverbug and Wolves have a lot in common, and the more that Jez and I discussed this, the more sense it made. Wolves very much regards itself, the team and the fans as a family, as does Silverbug. Passion is at the core of Wolves and Silverbug - being the geeks we are - are passionate about IT and what it can do for our customers.

"I am so excited about the season ahead - Kenny and everyone in the club are doing a fantastic job and I just can't wait to see Silverbug's logo on the shirt and around Molineux".
