Caddick Construction and Oakgate Group PLC, part of Caddick Group, have sponsored a new van for York Theatre Royal.

Caddick stepped in to assist the theatre company, which is currently performing Wind in the Willows, a summer show aimed at family audiences which features singing, dancing and live music.

According to reports the theatre had been in dire need of new transportation, so the provision of a brand new van was welcomed by the cast of the show with open arms.

The theatre was founded in 1744 and is renowned for its annual pantomime, which for more than thirty years has been written and directed by Berwick Kaler, who also stars in the show.

Caddick Construction was established some thirty-four years ago and specialises in high quality new build, refurbishment and civil construction.

Caddick works with local schools to educate children regarding health and safety and to encourage the consideration of construction as a career through work experience, site visits and mentoring.

The group is also active in the charity sector, via both donations and through support of its group charities.
