Super Casino releases statistics to celebrate sponsorship of Celebrity Big Brother

The online casino experts at Super Casino have conducted research to celebrate their sponsorship of hit Channel 5 show, Celebrity Big Brother.

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother began on Friday, 3rd January and to celebrate the launch of the series, the experts at Super Casino conducted research to find out why the show is so popular with members of the Great British public.

The research, which took responses from over 1,000 UK residents, aimed to explore a number of aspects of the show, from the favourite winner to the show's most iconic moments. Findings suggested that while comedian Jack Dee was voted by the majority of participants to be the favourite winner of Celebrity Big Brother, the next popular was Essex TV personality Rylan Clark.

Celebrity Big Brother is famous for its memorable moments, and the survey from Super Casino aimed to find out what the Great British public perceived to be the most iconic. 30% of respondents considered the 'race row' between Jade Goody and Shilpa Shetty in 2007's series of the show to be the most iconic. Following closely behind with 24% of the votes was the moment MP George Galloway pretended to be a cat during one of the tasks set by Big Brother.

Speculation as to who the latest contestants will be is usually rife as the launch of a new series approaches, so Super Casino wanted to discover who was the most popular candidate for a future series. The results revealed that 20% of participants wanted to see London's mayor Boris Johnson enter the house, while 21% of female respondents voted to see Simon Cowell feature on the show.

A spokesperson for the online casino specialists offered their comments on the research conducted into Celebrity Big Brother and their sponsorship of the new series of the show: "At Super Casino we are proud to be sponsoring Celebrity Big Brother for the second time. The show is popular among British TV viewers but we wanted to understand what made the series so popular, which is why we conducted research into viewers' opinions. The show is often filled with fun and exciting moments, so we are looking forward to seeing what this year's series will have in store for the celebrity contestants and who will be crowned the eventual winner".
