The legal firm, which has a major presence in both Northampton and Milton Keynes, has been keen to partner with one of the region's major sporting brands.

The 50-over game will be played in the beautiful setting of Campbell Park in the very centre of Milton Keynes and Shoosmiths will be the main sponsor.

Shoosmiths senior associate Simon Fennell said: "This will be the first major game held at Campbell Park this year and we're proud to be associated with it.

"Northants Cricket have been looking for the support of the local business community as they work to build stronger links with Milton Keynes, and we are happy to have signed a formal agreement with Northants Cricket and work with them on this match.

"With Shoosmiths' presence in both Milton Keynes and Northampton and our sponsorship of the club for a season, it made perfect business sense for us to link up with them for this match. This game brings both towns together, and will be a fantastic community event".
